When an operator zooms to high magnification, the depth of field decreases, at this point you may want to turn off the auto-focus capability and manually position the lens on a specific component. Many systems require physically changing the dip switches on the camera, however, with the ViewPoint keypad, the operator may toggle from manual to auto-focus at the touch of a button.
